ONE PIECE EPISODE 1014 RELEASE DELAYED BECAUSE OF HACKING AT TOEI ANIMATION

 One Piece episode 1014 is set to be delayed this week because of a third-party hacking of Toei Animation, but has a new release date been confirmed?

For millions of anime fans around the world, One Piece remains a staple of their weekend TV schedule.

However, the iconic series will be notably absent from this week’s broadcast, both domestically in Japan and internationally on streaming services.

So, what do we know so far about the delay to One Piece episode 1014 and has Toei Animation shared a new release date for “Marco’s Tears! The Bond of the Whitebeard Pirates!”

ONE PIECE EPISODE 1014 DELAYED

Unfortunately, the upcoming episode from the One Piece anime adaptation (1014) is set to be delayed from its original broadcast, which was scheduled for Sunday, March 13th.

This is because Toei Animation recently had its internal networks hacked by a third party, which corrupted files and affected the scheduled broadcast of several titles, including One Piece.

Toei Animation released a press release on the hacking, explaining how the “impact on TV animation works [was] due to system failure caused by unauthorized access to our network.”

Toei ended the post by apologizing to fans but noting that details are currently under investigation.

WHAT DATE WILL ONE PIECE EP 1014 NOW RELEASE?

As of March 12th, a new release date for the delayed episode 1014 of One Piece has not been shared by either Toei Animation or the series’ associated distribution partners.

According to a post on the official One Piece website, Toei Animation will announce more details on both the hacking and the release date for upcoming episodes after March 20th.

However, fans should note that this does not necessarily mean that the new episode will launch on March 20th – only that more information is to be shared then.

Fans outside Japan who stream new One Piece episodes through the likes of Crunchyroll will also be affected by the hacking.

THREE OTHER TITLES AFFECTED BY THE HACKING

It wasn’t only the One Piece series that has been affected by the third party hacking of Toei Animation.

As confirmed in the press release, the following series have also seen their most-recent episodes delayed:

1] Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai episode 73

2] Digimon Ghost Game episode 22

3] Delicious Part Pretty Cure episode 6

Similar to the One Piece delay, Toei Animation has not yet confirmed when these episodes will now release worldwide.
